School Governance

The Board of Directors of Pok Oi Hospital is the School Sponsoring Body and the highest decision-making entity. The Board of Directors has established an Executive Committee, an Education Service Committee and a School Management Committee which hold regular meetings to determine the annual goals and developmental plans. Through regular meetings and school reports, understand the school situation and provide appropriate support and advice. the Director of Education Services will represent the school sponsoring bodies and the school management committee, and cooperate with the principals of each school to assist in the implementation of various schools in accordance with the Education Ordinance (Chapter 279 of the Laws of Hong Kong) and the Early Childhood Services Ordinance (Chapter 243 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The members of the School Management Committee include the chairman of the Education Service Committee (the school supervisor) of the Board of Directors of Pok Oi Hospital. The school managers are respectively the chairman, vice-chairman and the directors of the Board of Directors. The supervisor and school managers are appointed by the Board of Directors for a term of one year. The Board of Directors agrees that each term expires and members of the School Management Committee can be re-elected.
